…..eating healthier that is! I got the new cookbook Deceptively Delicious for Christmas and so now I am going to try to cook a few things. So, that meant a new type of shopping experience for me — like flax seed meal. Never did I think I’d buy something like that!

The thing that frustrates me is the cost. For my family to eat healthier including more whole-grain foods and veggies, it cost us about 20-30% more for our food bill! It is shocking. Here, everyone says to eat healthy, but it really hits you in the pocket book! I am praying that these new recipes taste good and are worth the extra cost for me!!

That was one down spot in my day yesterday — a high food bill. Another was that a very, very good friend of mine was banned from a site I belong to. I definitely don’t agree with what she did, but I don’t think it warranted being banned. I finally had to stop responding as everyone was bashing her and putting her down….and she couldn’t defend herself. I would try to say something, but since it would have not done any good, I didn’t. I was tired of the arguing and bickering that was going on. Just tired of it all. I hope that the board returns to it’s once very fun self again soon as I feel tension there right now.

Oh…and a great friend of mine is having TWINS!!! I mentioned her pregnancy a few posts back and now she is going from a mom of 1 to a mom of 3!! It has got to be overwhelming for her right now…..but once it sinks in, she’s gonna be an AWESOME mom to multiples!! Now, I will keep praying that all 3 of them are healthy for the next 8 months! While she is due towards the end of August, with having more than one, she’ll probably deliver a little earlier….in late July instead!! Now, to wait until we find out the genders of these little beans — man — I can’t WAIT!!!!
