I have a cold. The kind where you lay in bed and can hear/feel your sinuses popping. The kind that keeps you up and that brings tears to your eyes at the mere thought of having to blow your nose, yet again. I am lucky that at LEAST my children and husband don’t have this and it is hitting me over a week before the holidays hit, so I should be fully recovered by then.

Today we have Emma’s Christmas program. I am so excited to see if she cries again or if she will actually perform for us. It should be fun either way. She is running around the house this morning, curlers in her hair, getting ready to look as adorable as possible (which really doesn’t take much effort on her part).

The past few days have been crazy. Emma was sick on Thursday with the flu and throwing up…..now it has migrated to the other end…..my poor little baby! The nurse told me that this can last up to a week! UGH!! I pray that it doesn’t as her little bottom is already as red as can be!!!

My party for last night was postponed….again. And once again, the weather ended up NOT being as bad as predicted. It makes me feel bad for my hostess, but with me not feeling well, it really worked out for the best. This does mean my December was atrocious when it comes to commissions, but I really don’t care as my family and friends are much more important than any money.

OH — a good friend of mine is pregnant!! She has been trying for over two years, with one m/c mixed in that period of time! I am soooo praying that this baby is healthy and she has a great pregnancy. However, I will admit that I am the teeniest jealous. I want another baby myself and my jealousy is not bitterness at all towards her, as I would not ever feel that way towards a good friend, but the entire excitement, anticipation and all that goes with the growing baby in your belly.

Well, my nose is doing the dripping dance again…..off to blow it……for the 1000th time! GAH!
